PRAYER FOR MORNING

Holy God, as the sun shines upon us now,
whether we can see it or not,
remind us that your Son is shining on us,
praying for us and leading us.
Help me to honor him, to serve him this day,
and to live peacefully in your creation;
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Glory to you O God, creator of all that is,
creator of this new day and lover of all your people:
You are the light of the world
and all day long you are working for good.
Bless those I meet today and think of
and bless all those in need;
Help me this day to cooperate with you;
to rejoice in your holy presence
and to avoid those sins which would displease you
and frustrate your intentions;
Grant these mercies, O God, for the sake of Christ. Amen.
