The Sunday school asked the congregation to give a donation to the Guatemala mission project. It provides educational opportunities for underprivileged children. Guatemala is one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere. We thank the congregation for your support.

The New City United Methodist
Sunday School Mission Statement

The mission of our church school is to create an atmosphere where our young people can learn, explore and hear the Word of God and Jesus Christ, as taught by caring teachers. Part of this mission is to teach them what it means to be a Christian in the United Methodist tradition.

We use Cokesbury curriculum, Grow, Proclaim, Serve!

Through this curriculum children learn to;
grow in their relationship to God and to Jesus Christ;
grow in discipleship; grow in their love of the Bible and in their Bible skills;
grow in their relationships to one another; and grow to love their neighbors as themselves.
