Helping HandsIt's that time of year when we need to start thinking of our outreach program for the homeless of Rockland County, called Helping Hands of Rockland County.  Our 9 sheltering dates this season will be: December 10th, 11th, and 12th, January 21st, 22nd, and 23, March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Last year all of the meals were provided by other churches/organizations (St. Paul's Lutheran Church, St. Augustine's Church, Pearl River UMC, and the law firm of Fellows Hymowitz).  We will need chaperones for all nine nights, so please let me know about that as well.  I will be posting a sheet for the first three nights on the bulletin board. Thank you in advance for helping with our Safe Haven outreach program!

Cancer Support GroupFor All Women Cancer Survivors in the Rockland Area

If you have - or have had - cancer, you are not alone. You are invited to attend a non-denominational Women's Cancer Support Group hosted by St. Paul's-St. Ann's Parish in Valley Cottage. Any woman who has been diagnosed at any time with any form of cancer is welcome. The group provides a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen and a place to share with others who understand.

Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month (except July and August) at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul's School, 365 Kings Highway, Valley Cottage. No reservations are required. For more information or directions, contact Toni Johnston of our UMC congregation or diane Weber of St. Paul's-St. Anns.
